What makes your heart beat faster?

I was sitting in my car the other day and the bass was going really loud and I started to notice that the bass was going at a steady rate and then it started to go faster and faster... but the funny thing that I just tried was when the bass would go faster in the song the faster my heart was beating. This absolutely stunned me because I had never really realized this before.

This time last year I was getting ready to leave the country... and here I am again in the same position.


Things seem like they are always changing but I think God keeps some things the same just to keep us sane.


Oh my goodness I am so excited to go back to Africa. It is going to be great!!!!

It's so crazy how these busy days just seem to take over your life. I don't even know how it happens. It's like 1...2...3... wham! It's flippin thanksgiving already. How nuts is that? where did November go?

So the other week I got to go visit my grandparents in Wisconsin. It was super great! They were so nice to talk to. I always took for granted the times that I have to spend with them. I also got to ssome aunts and uncles as well as cousins...


Started working at the Mobile Solution. My days are packed with things to do. I know that I will like this job because it is always challenging me to be creative in the ways I interact with people. Some people say sales is a science. I say it is an art... you are painting a picture to people of what their life is going to be like... who can turn down a better life?

Cleaning Halloween

Tada! <--- that's a cool word.

It's kind of fun when your whole day is filled up with things to do and you can't seem to get one of them things finished. Ha! Not today!!! I got loads of things done. It feels so great. Except on this Friday evening... I'm thinking I want to go home and clean. I love cleaning if you didn't know that. It's a very recent hobby of mine. It's something that you can do other things while you are doing it and get stuff done and enjoy the results. I know that is kind of sad... but oh well... I guess I can be plain sometime in my life.

The other night was Halloween. Oh my goodness I have never enjoyed this holiday more. I am staying at Dave's place for the next couple months and he has the cutest neighbors ever. They were all so creative with their costumes. So i wanted to make a list of my top 3 favorite costumes I saw.

3. Two twin boys about the age of 3...dressed up as tony the tiger and the lucky charms guy. They were colored boys which made them even more cute (yeah, you like how I said colored... didn't you... you're just wonder what color... I'll leave that for your imagination)

2. This one little girl decked out in a superman costume!

1. This 13 year old boy dressed up as a stripper. I could hardly look at him. Oh yeah, best part... he had a boom box with him.

SO DO IT

So I woke up this morning and I was super positive about the day. I just knew that God is going to do something flippin amazing. Well, you know He always does, but today feels like it is going to be extra special. I was reading today about praying the scriptures. I never realized how much they open you up for new and more things to pray about. It was absolutely wonderful. I especially like praying the Psalms.
On the way to the office today the whole entire street was blocked off by ambulances, fire trucks, and cop cars. There was a huge fire at this nail salon. It was quite crazy.
Don't you love blessings? I love blessing people and I love to be blessed. Today I got super blessed by one of my friends. He payed for something for me that wasn't cheap.
Today, Amanda moves into the house. Last night I had to spend the night alone because Amethyst went to Orlando to visit family and veg on some delicious Mexican food. It was cool to be alone for once. It's been a while since I've been able to get away from everyone. It's always funny to see what you do when you are alone. Last night I found myself ironing for hours. Who irons for that long? Apparently me. HA
For the past week or so I've been having multiple dreams about one of my friends and I wake up crying. I don't even remember what the dreams are about. Can anyone tell me what this means?

Hannah

I was recently reading in 1 Samuel about the story of Hannah. She had longed for so long to have one child but it wouldn't happen for her. She would go to the temple time after time and cry out to God for just one son. She had told God that if He granted her one Son, she would give him up to the church. Have you ever found yourself wanting something so bad that you were just willing to have it for a moment and give it up later? It seems to be happening more and more often.
Yesterday, i got to visit my hometown. I've been doing that a lot more lately. I think I've realized how much everyone there is like my family. I got to see something super special. Yesterday was baptismal Sunday at Calvary Christian Center. These times are alway my favorite. I get to see how people's lives have been transformed. I got to see two of my old friends from years ago get into a tub full of water and put away their old lives and rise up as new beings in Christ. But my favorite baptismal would have to have been my little sister Christy's. I know I am a little bias but her testimony was so powerful. I got to see a yung girl with the boldness and faith I sometimes long for. She is really my idol. I definitely lost it when my dad was sharing how they pulled over on the side of the road just so she could give her life to t he Lord. It was so powerful.
Other things that are going on right now.... well, yes... lots of things have been happening. I just moved into another place... hopefully I can stay in this one for a little while longer. I also got a little part time job at one of the local coffee shop. It should be nice making a couple extra dollars. I am really really praying now for a car. My second car died on me this month :( But I know God wont let me down. I'm believing for a car that will work! Other than that I've been pouring many many hours into the office at Overland Missions. It's been wonderful. God has been teaching me tons of stuff. I can't wait to see what is going to happen within the next year.
